Whenever I attempt to launch destinylauncher.exe, I'm greeted with an appcrash attributed to kernelbase.dll

Any idea whats going on here?

Mmm, interesting, I had yet to see it crash on non-WindowsXP machines.

    What's your Windows version?
I'd assume yes, but, just in case; do you have .NET Framework 4.0 installed? You can check by opening the Command prompt (type cmd in the Windows Search bar, and press Enter when the Command Prompt application appears), and typing the following command:
    reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP"

This will list all the NET Framework versions installed on your computer, up to 4.0.

On a side note, though, if your files are up-to-date, you'll be able to play just fine by simply double-clicking on MapleDestiny.exe in your game folder.
